Guru

The Birth
Jagathguru Guru Mahan Paranjothiar was born on 11-02-1955 in Bhavani, Tamil Nadu, India. His Parents were Thiru.Krishnamoorthy and Smt.Lakshmy Ammal. They deemed him to be a Thavamani, a son born after much penance. When he was older, he was called Jayamani.

Divine Childhood
At the age of seven, Jayamani had an out of body experience He observed his own body from outside and realized "I" am not the body. He took the great Swami Vivekananda as his inner idol and pursued the quest on his own for the next 12 years through various Yogas .During the course of it, he met several renowned Gurus and did not have his thirst fulfilled His quest culminated in meeting his Guru Gnanvallal Paranjothy Mahaan from whom he obtained the Kundalini initiation. The doors to enlightenment were opened with the Forehead Eye (3rd eye) and Top eye (Sahasrahara)initiation. As a result of intense practice the Enlightenment was attained at the age of 19.

The Self Realised Aura

This is the aura of Guru Mahaan , the center white is the Light at Sahasrahara ,the signature of a Self Realized being.When Kundalini rising from Mooladara crosses the 7 dimensions and merges with the Unmanifested at Sahasrara ,the desired spiritual state is obtained.This was taken by the Aura Photography in Iceland where this was a case of scientific proof substantiating the highest spiritual experience. The Greeen and Gold spectrum of vibrations are identified as Vibrations of Love , peace and Happiness

Grihastasrama:
Guru Mahan was keen to follow the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda by being a brahmachari but GnanaVallal Paranjothy mahaan persuaded him to lead a married life. Guru Mahan was instructed to live and teach by example for having direct experience of problems of a common mans and then give upadesam (spiritual guidance) to world.Guru Mahan was married to Guru matha MahaLakshmi at the age of 25 , who is playing a silent spiritual role in supporting him by looking after the basic needs of the spiritual home in Thirumoorthy hills.

Holy Penances (Velvi – ATMA Yajna)
The world welfare is ensured if man lives with his own dharma (Righteousness) and in harmony with nature and other living beings. In this Kali Yuga , moral and human values have degraded largely. The earth is polluted and worst unseen is the thought Pollution. Universal Peace can only be restored if man(society,nation and world) upholds the primary value of love , penance and selflessness. These holy penances are aimed at sowing the Spiritual seeds in the minds of the aspirants,administrators and householders with pure thoughts

A holy penance is 21 day penance undertaken during the tamil month of Marghazhi (Dec Mid to jan 1st week) where Guru Mahan stays inside the pyramid and undertakes the continuous penance without food ,without seeing , and totally oblivious to outside world. We have heard from epics that the great Sage ViswaMitra perform the penance for protecting Dharma from ancient times. There have been 18 such penances from the year 1990 onwards meant for the welfare of the world.
